Personal Fundraising Page for Sarah Hofstetter
Hello,
Some of you may know I have been a coxswain at rowing for 3 years now. A coxswain is the person who is like a coach in the boat during practices and races. I row for a nonprofit organization that accepts every person who wishes to row. We gather from all around the Westchester area and have a true community and team atmosphere. We attend about four regattas each fall and spring. We have been training hard all winter to have a great spring season! We have an ever growing need to expand our fleet with the growing popularity of rowing. This weekend I am rowing for ninety minutes to raise money for new boats and oars to row with. I am hoping that you can donate to help us give more rowers a chance to race. Anything you can do would be amazing!
Thank you very much, Sarah Hofstetter
Thank you for your support in helping us meet our ambitious annual fundraising goal of $75,000.00 by March 6th. PCRA’s class fees cover operating expenses, but our equipment is purchased exclusively through fundraising.
This year, we aim to purchase much needed, new racing shells for our club and well as sorely needed spare parts to repair and maintain our fleet!
A new racing shell costs between $20,000 and $ 40,000 depending on the size and manufacturer, and is hand crafted with carbon fiber.
Pelham Community Rowing Association is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit and as such your donation is fully tax deductible. We will be happy to furnish receipts for donations.
We expect the average distance rowed by our athlete’s team of 3 to be 20,000 m during their allotted 90 minutes. Our athletes vary greatly in age, size and experience (7th-12th grade) and results will likely range between 18,000m and 24,000m. Your sponsorship is per 1000 m. Most sponsors will pledge between $5 and $50 per 1000m
Example:
You sponsor your athlete’s team $5 per 1000m. Your athlete’s team rows 20,000m.
Your pledge total would be $100.00
